a new page [change title]

MT Page Editor

Gloriosa MT Pages weblog is an admin sandbox for testing new code, style sheet, and layout implementations. It can also be used as a static webpage builder.

This test can be changed/replaced to create a new post.

When you view the individual entry archive of this post [called the permalink] you are essentially viewing this post as a unique page generated by your browser, within your chosen layout - complete with page header, navigation, and other universal components.

The View Source from your browser will show you the code of this entry rendered as a unique, complete webpage. That code is not a Movable Type template - it has no MT tags. The MT platform specific tags that appear in your templates have already been "used" to generate the corresponding markup.

The browser view source code for the page can be saved with an .html or .php extension to create a free-standing web page independent of the Movable Type platform.

To trick Movable Type into managing this page within the directory of your main public site:

copy and paste the source code from the browser into a new template in your main weblog control panel. Name the template and give it an .html or .php extension. [example: services.php] It will then appear in the list of templates for your individual pages.

*note: this page will not automatically appear in the navigation.

*note: you may wish to change the link to the corresponding stylesheet in the head of your document. The line is near the top, and looks like this:

The static pages in the Main Gloriosa site are controlled by the style sheet located at:
Change/replace the style sheet path.
